Hey there! I’m Stephanie.

I love teaching the Bible, leading Bible studies, writing, and walking alongside others as we pursue Jesus together.

My heart is to share the beauty of Scripture and to help others see Jesus’ invitation of grace and love in the everyday rhythms of life, an invitation that leads us into true flourishing.

I’m a pastor’s wife and mom to three wonderful kids, and I’ve had the gift of living overseas in South Africa and Brazil, experiences that shaped my faith and gave me a deep love for the global church. I hold a Master’s degree in Theology which has formed both how I study Scripture and how I teach it, always with an eye toward faithful application in real life.

In the day-to-day, I serve at Covenant College as Vice President for Student Development, where I oversee the student experience and thoughtfully consider how each part of college life contributes to students’ spiritual formation, walking alongside them in academic, relational, and spiritual growth.

I love partnering with churches and ministries through women’s events, retreats, and conferences, and it is a joy to gather around God’s Word with the hope of encouragement, renewal, and deeper faith. Wherever I’m teaching or speaking, my desire is the same: to honor Christ, serve His church, and invite others to behold the beauty of the gospel shaping every part of life, drawing us into deeper love for Jesus and His church.

The season of engagement can seem like a time created for planning a wedding, attending bridal showers, celebrating with friends, and booking a honeymoon. But engagement is much more significant than that.

Have you ever been to a birthday party with a piñata? One child is blindfolded and tries to smack the piñata while all the other little kids stand around watching and waiting for it to break open. And when it does, it’s pure chaos. Kids start diving on the ground, pushing others out of the way, and desperately scraping together a hoard of candy.

    Topic: Ministry

We planted a garden this summer. We have three raised beds dedicated to some vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers, another for herbs like basil and oregano, and one bed specifically for wildflowers. As I have watched seeds turn into flowers, and little sprouts turn into tomatoes, the Lord has taught me about work—my work and His work.

Topic: Last Words to Live By

There is something special and even powerful about old things made new again. Perhaps this is why millions of viewers regularly follow various home makeover shows on HGTV. It is mesmerizing to watch an old, broken, and dilapidated building transform into a shiny and beautiful new home.

My family and I lived in Brazil for a little over three years. And while I grew to appreciate many things about Brazil, probably the thing I learned to love the most is the delicious food! I love the tropical fruit, the beans and rice, the meat, and the cheese bread. But the best Brazilian food is my mother-in-law’s cooking, and here is the secret to her food...
